Insert tubing inside the compression ring, where a barb compresses the tube to create a watertight connection. Attach by rocking the tubing back and forth while applying pressure; for tough tubing, soak in hot water or leave out in the sun to make it more pliable. This compression fitting is made of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) treated with UV inhibitors to prevent cracking.
